Would you believe this space was once a retail store in a struggling mall in downtown Milwaukee? A progressive Developer has revitalized this area of the City through the creative re-purposing of the entire mall complex. For this old shoe store, the Lighting Designers were not only tasked with creating a dynamic space through the general illumination and controls integration, but also were responsible for designing the focal point of the space. Braided lit ropes and textural pendants artfully drop in composition with greenery through a wood frame element in each bay of the space. The bar speaks to these ceiling features as a secondary focal point with the same textural pendants and integrated color changing lighting. The design is cohesively supported through color changing lighting throughout the space, providing a customized environment for each unique event.
